Office Christmas Party 2009

December 4, 2009, Friday last week was our office christmas party, and despite the vibrant 80s new wave theme, people weren't really into the party atmosphere having 2 lackluster amateur showbands provided the musical entertainment, plus a program that took forever to progress at snail's pace encountering evry technical glitch known to the electronic era, the party ended with full bellies, tired senses and fuzzy feelings of dizziness, but it was still good, maionly because my partner and I were together that night and I was able to introduce him to my close office friends.

Perpetual Profession

It has been a week since my youngest sister who entered the convent 9 years ago underwent her Perpetual profession or vow of living the religious life forever i.e. getting married to God. It was a joyous occassion held at a beautiful church Saint James church in Ayala-Alabang Village which is quite near to the convent.friends and family attended the solemn event and it was obvious from the face of sister sister that she was happyI was able to march/walk down the aisle with our mother to escort sister sister to the altar, with which most of the other nuns were pleased that I could walk the length of the aisle even if with difficulty My sister based in Florida flew in on midnight of friday to join the event thus giving sister sister a very pleasant surprise, we kept this arrival secret from the celebrant to mount her anxiety and make the surprise genuine.
There were 5 nuns to be professed that day and each nun expected around 30 guests, so you can imagine how many people attended the event and thus required a large church.
after the mass, everyone proceeded to the DVMI(daughters of Virgin Mary Immaculate) convent for the reception where lunch was served to allAfter having lunch, the newly professed sisters proceeded to open their gifts just like in regular weddingswith the physical absence of a groom of course.<and I was glad to have shared it with friends and my special someone alt="">server.php/43/02/2702034/private_2_ac8700f7d6340501023b1e25dacb9fe376c38b858edf3dc4a21baaa45608aab5l.jpg" alt="">

37th Haberdei

I turned 37 on wednesday last week but decided to celebrate yesterday so my friends can be available to join my party. It was a simple event, I had food prepared by a catering service owned by a family friend of ours and I chose the menu for the event, as a typical pinoy party, there was plenty of videoke singing as well. Didn't have to rent a videoke machine this time since my sister's videoke machine is still functional and was brought back to Manila from the US last year. I was up at 5am already and was excited about having my friends come to our new house. By 9 am, I was already dressed and ready to receive my guests, was playing some lively music all day while I sat in the garage waiting for my guests to arrive one by one, the first to arrive was my partner, Allan, for I while, I thought he'd never make it because I wasn't able to reach him by phone the entire week before. I turns out that he is attending caregiving classes already and is not at home most of the time while studying in the afternoon then working at night. next to arrive were the core people of my cyber group LPL- Mikey, Jasay, Ate Glow and his partner. they arrived and found my new place at about 11am after plenty of texts and calls for directions to our house. the buffet table was set up as soon as they arrived and the feasting has begunsrc="http://www.friendster.com/photos/26184667/1/906643582#" alt="">src="http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=296955&id=1132360475" alt=""> My friend from Hewlett-Packard but former colleague in Procter, Christian, arrived around noon then came, my college pal Ven and family with her 3 boys and hubby. My mother also invited some of our new neighbors thus making it a truly friendly neighborhood.src="http://photos.friendster.com/photos/76/64/26184667/1_353180872l.jpg" alt="">Other friends from the office still arrived after lunch but still got a suitable dose of food & fun.By early evening, party was over. I guess I timed everything right, so we wouldn't be disturbing the peace in the neighborhood, All in all, it was a fun day, with food, fun and friends, I am very blessed and once again I thank our Lord almighty for His grace of life and love, Until next yearpid=296955&id=1132360475" alt="">Glad to still be able to eat cake without feeling guilty.

In feb 2008 I began regularly checking out 2 blogs and linked them on my blog entry called bloggersthat of monster radiorx 93.1 dj chico garcia and avid listener Loi Pogi, now I must add Chico's co-host, partner, friend, confidante and one of the wittiest women I've seen in Philippine media, Delamar's blog.It's amazing how the internet has become such a rich place due to the quality and number of smarties publishing their thoughts on blogs, kudos to you delle, happy blogging and keep it up, on to a million hits!!!
